A bit misleading. Goes for other OS too but mentioned 7 because
2.53.1 removed pre Windows 7 support.

Speaking of W7, how much longer with upcoming SM support it?

No plans to discontinue. We were basically the last supporting XP and
this will hopefully last longer.

Thanks FRG. I am doing the same. I hate W8 and W10. :(

Re: back to 2.49.5, it's ok ! Re: yahoo imap error "[CLIENTBUG] SELECT Command is not valid in this state"

2020-12-09 Thread Manu BEEGOOD
After several tries (sand box helped me a lot), my problem was related to
bitdefender !!. I uninstalled it. Now 2.53.5.1 connects without difficulty to
imap yahoo with my usual password. Thank you.

Despite the attacks listed I believe supporting TLSv1 with a very
limited cypher set should be possible. Even SM 1.1.x does support
ecdhe_ecdsa_aes and ecdhe_rsa_aes. Since these cyphers are enabled
by default supporting them with TLSv1 on the server should be fine.
