I'm guessing by double clicking, you are, in effect, indicating that you want to reply to the message (that you hadn't read yet!!). Daniel The OP is talking about double-clicking on the news group. When you double-click on the news group, it does the first action in its context menu: Open in new Mail window. There are times when my mouse (I assume it is my mouse) click results in an inadvertent double-click and I get a new Mail/News window. Unfortunately, it is the same size and in the same location as the previous one, so it's not obvious that this has happened until I notice all the application icon/ buttons on the Windows task bar. Thank you Mark. Except that 'Open in a New Window' is the second option The first is 'Get Messages.' ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Marking a Newsgroup Account as Read
One thing I miss in Seamonkey is Thunderbird's 'Mark all Read' in the context menu for each account. Is there an add-on or extension which will add it to Seamonkey's account context menu? Or have I overlooked that feature? Thank you. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

SM 1119 can mark individual groups read but not the entire news server with all your groups at one time. select group/ right click/ mark news group read. Yes, I knew that. Sorry to hear there is no way to mark all newsgroups in an account as read. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Thank you. Assuming your running some flavor of Windows, copy the desktop shortcut used to launch the browser and name it something like Seamonkey Mail. Then change the properties for the shortcut and add -mail to the end of the command line, as in: C:\Program Files\Seamonkey\seamonkey.exe -mail When you launch from this shortcut, it will open with the e-mail client. Nice Suggestion. Thank you. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Firefox from URL's in Email or Newsgroups.
I would like to have Firefox used when I open a URL from within Mail or a Newsgroup rather than the SeaMonkey browser. Can I do this and how if so? Thank you, ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Opening with Newsgroup Threads Collapsed

Maximun Number of Connections Exceeded by Sea Monkey 2.04
I have a news account set up under Seamonkey that has 9 newsgroup subscriptions in it. When I right click on the account and choose 'Get Messages', I get an alert message saying, A News (NNTP) error occurred: (remote)(my IP)exceeded maximum number of connections per IP. The getting of the messages appears to end there. I have the same account and subscriptions set up under Thunderbird and I don't get such an alert when I 'get messages' for the account so I figure the problem is in Seamonkey. (Of course I could easily be wrong.) Will someone please help me get rid of this alert?
