Well, apparently it no longer exists.

This is much newer code than TB 2.0.0.24 or SM 1.1.19, but I guess it
may still run on some older Macs as well, esp. on Tiger.

Hmm was half asleep when I made the links, willing to identify the
builds that match SM 1.1.19 then, so we can get accurate reference
points (for me to actually look at bonsai with).

I'm here to test, when ready.

I just installed SM 1.1.19 on my G4/500 Sawtooth running 10.4.11 - it
launches and runs just fine.

I moved my previous app (SM 1.1.18) to the Trash first, then dragged
over 1.1.19 in it's place and launched it, surfed a bit. No problems.

Interesting. It would seem that your Tiger machine is a twin to mine.
The only thing I see different in our experiences was that 1.1.18 was
not installed when I installed 1.1.19. I had already upgraded to 2.0,
and had removed the older version. The old profile was still there, as
was a profile for Netscape 7.2, so I had expected 1.1.19 to pick up
the old profiles, but no such luck.

Then again, my Panther Sawtooth did have 1.1.18 installed, and I
installed 1.1.19 as you did, but without success. I had to revert to
1.1.18 to get a working browser.

Lee

I did delete the 1.1.18 app, but I left my Mozilla folder and it's
contents intact. SM 1.1.19 just picked up and ran with it. Then I
emptied the Trash to get rid of the 1.1.18 app and launched again - no
problems.

Interesting...I have a Netscape install on my machine, too. Only
difference is that I've never upgraded that one to SM 2.x. I've only got
2.x running on my Macbook Pro and G5 iMac, running 10.6.2 and 10.5.x
respectively.

New account, Tiger PPC:
SM 1.1.19 opens but shows only SeaMonkey (no File, Edit etc.) in the
Apple top menu and in the dropdown menu under SeaMonkey: no About
SeaMonkey and no Preferences.

Other account with SM 1.1.18:
Installed 1.1.19 as Rufus did: same result as in new account.

(Both TB 2.0.0.24 and even FF 3.0.19-candidates/build1 run normally.)

Due to security reasons, JS in messages is deactivated for the moment.
A hidden option to get it back will be added again, but it was more
important to ensure the security of users for the moment.

Thanks, Robert; I hope the option to use JS in Mail/News SM-2.0a2/3 will
be put back very soon so users can decide for themselves.

Hi Nanny,

Hi Joe, thanks: Mozilla info, be it technical- or Mozilla
management-wise is scattered all over the place. More about that another
time.

Most of the Dev's have absolutely no idea about the multimedia
community, and what they are about.

I have made it my business to try to inform them about it.

Please, do go on with your multimedia-info-action;-)

I don't put the blame on certain devs: too easy.

Do you remember how long it took to get the marquee tag enabled by
default in Gecko browsers ?

And an even longer time to get it fully enabled in Mailnews.

H, I remember an awful lot;-)

Have a great Christmas season Nanny, hope to see you soon in a MM
friendly newsgroup, with a capable Mailnews client.

Over and over again I read that Mitchel Baker and paid co-workers are
very, very eager to collect as much using (and not user-) data as possible.
With Tb and SM belonging to Mozilla, MTMM *is* the right News-Group
to try out MultiMedia in Mail/News. I really wouldn't know how to do so
in ChatZilla or one of the forums.

In the meantime to all: enjoy your holidays!

Nanny

P.S. would be nice to see a MM holiday mail from you in MTMM;-)

How do I enable JS in seamonkey-2.0a2/3 Mail/News?

The only thing that still works is the music/video script. All other
scripts that always used to work, even in SeaMonkey 2 pre, don't work
work any longer in seamonkey-2.0a2/3 on my Mac.

With web sites (and not to forget servers + interest/influence of
governments) trying more and more to take over the spammer's role, I
wonder why the SM browser has JS and cookies enabled by default: HTLM,
JS, Flash, Ajax and the likes work perfectly well in the browser as is.

Turning JS on/off in Mail/News is done in a jiffy.
Turning JS on/off in browsers, not only SM, is just the beginning of a
lot more (not so obvious) to do, to make the browsers more secure.
