I'm having more problems than ever printing from SM, especially 2.53.1. Quite often I'll try to print web pages, and I'll only get parts of pages, like only 2 printed pages for 4 or 5 web pages. Only grey areas can be seen. See picture here : https://i.ibb.co/nnL3MFW/Capture.jpg This a user profile problem, because thumbnails are displayed with a new profile. Disabling and even uninstalling of all the add-ons does not solve this problem. Any idea is welcome to rescue this user profile. For me that happens when I use a specially crated user agent string to overcome the problem of Google search field being incorrectly displayed (text misaligned). Returning to the default user agent solves this problem with Youtube (although the problem with Google comes back). Please check whether your two profiles have different user agent strings. The idea is good, but i have already checked this. The user-agent string is the same for working and not-working profiles. If i modify this string, Youtube is displayed differently, but always without thumbnails. And the problem is only for Youtube. If i go to another video website, i have the thumbnails. Found the problem. Domain ytimg.com was blocked in the permissions tab. Once this block is removed, the thumbnails are displayed. I also have just grey squares. How long has it been since you last restarted your computer (i.e., how many times have you put it to sleep, since the last restart?) I'm inclined to believe that there's some sort of stray signal coming from Windows that's triggering the pop-up. I suggest a simple restart of Seamonkey. If you're still seeing issues, then a cold restart of the computer. It looks like you're using Windows 10, and if you are, a simple restart is sufficient. For Windows 7, you want to do a full power-off shut down. Since Windows 8, Microsoft has tweaked Windows so that initiating "shutdown" actually hibernates the computer, where there's some power in the circuitry. Initiating "restart" will do a shutdown of the computer, although a restart will happen quickly enough that there isn't time for the power to be completely drained from the system. There's a tweak that you can make in Windows to force the more traditional handling of sleep/hibernate/shutdown, although I won't try to describe here. Very annoying, and the operator is not open to have it stream continuously. Is there any way for SM to "trick" it into not shutting off? http://www.yourerie.com/skycam-cameras/erie-international-airport-tom-ridge-field-skycam Only way I can think of is to insert an HTML into the section of the document. Right-click the page and choose Save As and save to you local hard drive. Open the file in a plain text editor and in the section insert: for refresh after 5 seconds. Adjust time as desired. Save file. Instead of going online open the page from the local file. My only choice is save page. I clicked on that and it says can't save because it can't read the source file. But an htm file does save on my desktop. I opened it with notepad and it contains a huge amount of coding. Is that what I should try to modify somehow? ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Re: Reorganizing bookmarks - HOW?
I use AM-Deadlink v4.7 to keep my bookmarks current. It works very well with SM, and ID's which bookmarks are out of date or dead very quickly. Richard Owlett wrote: I'm using User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 SeaMonkey/2.48 Build identifier: 20170706221455 on a Debian 9 system. Over the years my bookmarks have grown topsy turvy. I currently have over 400 folders nested at least 3 deep (no idea how many bookmarks). I find the "Manage Bookmarks" option too cumbersome. I experimented with an "export as HTML, edit HTML, import HTML" sequence. It is doable but sub-par. Is there a newbie friendly tool to do a "backup as JSON, edit the JSON, restore from edited JSON file" sequence. I've not done any significant coding since using dBaseII and 8080 assembler in the 70's. Can anyone help me to get it working with 2.49.1? http://www.fbpurity.com/ I got this suggestion from the developer today, but I'm not the PC-saavy enough to know how to do it: "If you can get greasemonkey or a gm compatible extension working, you should be able to run the GM script version of Facebook Purity". ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

This is happening a lot now, with more sites. I've deleted cookies, etc. and nothing works. I don't see why if I disable Adblock Plus on an entire site, why does it still say its activated?
