That's still so.

I'm offered options including "Copy" and "Copy link." The latter
works as expected, but the former does nothing.

Hm- The latter is "Copy Link Location". I don't see "Copy Link".

You're right, of course, I misspoke.

I suspect this is because no text is selected, so "Copy" has
nothing to copy and leaves the clipboard intact (it doesn't copy a
null string and thereby clear the clipboard). But if that is so,
shouldn't "Copy" be grayed out?

If "Copy" is supposed to do nothing, then surely the menu entry
should be greyed out. Greyed? Grayed? Hm.

"Gray" is American, "grey" is British. Six of one, half-a-dozen of the
other, or as the Russians say, один черт ("one devil").

If you want to copy a link as text, you must first mark it, That is,
you place your cursor at one end (or just beyond to avoid triggering the
link) and -- holding down your keyboard's Shift key -- drag the cursor
to the other end.

First you say you do, and then you don't.
And then you say you will, but then won't.
You're undecided now, so what're you goin' to do?
From a 1950s song
That should be Donald Trump's theme song. He obviously
does not understand "commitment", whether it is about
policy or marriage.

Hm- The latter is "Copy Link Location". I don't see "Copy Link".
"Copy Link Location" works and "Copy" does nothing. But, I never used
"Copy" before, as far as I can recall, so I don't know if the behavior
was different in old times.

I'm using the last usable SM-Trunk and a recent Mail from Bugzilla.
There is always a link in those. :)

If "Copy" is supposed to do nothing, then surely the menu entry should
be greyed out. Greyed? Grayed? Hm.

But that is a very low issue on current SM-Trunk. ;)
