Out of curiosity, why would you want to do that?

Something to remember is that when you delete messages from a folder
(including moving from one folder to another), the content of the first
folder is not actually physically deleted until compacting is done, and
indexes are rebuilt.

Even if compacting doesn't save more than a trivial amount of space,
regular compacting is one of Seamonkey's standard maintenance processes.

While there may be reason to set the thresholds higher or lower,
depending on your needs, I don't suggest eliminating altogether.

Thick as I may appear just what effect does the following message
mean? Do you wish to compact all local and offline folders to save
disc space? This will save about 20.6 MB

Well, if you are tight for RAM or HD space, you can get a little bit
more space.

Do you realize you're replying to a 6 year-old message?

By default, SM/TB store messages in the mbox format
(one system file per mail "folder")

When a message is deleted, for performance reasons, it is only
marked as deleted (exactly as some filesystems do). Compacting
means rewriting the whole file after actually removing the
deleted messages.

Hope I was clear(ish)

I would click the Yes button, and compact my folders, to save disk
space, because it appears SeaMonkey is telling you that you are reaching
your limit.

If you are getting the notification after you have compacted, then you
have a problem. I would try compacting first.

No, check box that I see to stop the notification.

In my Linux version I have a check in my Compact folders when it will
save over XX MB setting, under Edit Preferences Mail and Newsgroups
Network and Storage. My setting being 20 MB.

Maybe if you deselect that setting, or raise the limit, the warning will
go away.

Good Luck!

Say Yes. ;-)

You can also tweak the frequency here:

Edit | Preferences | Mail Newsgroups | Networking Storage
[x] Compact folders when it will save over 00 MB

(default is 20)

Or you can turn it off entirely by unchecking the box (not recommended).

Compact the folders. file compact folders
If that doesn't clear it up then compact the folders individually:
For each folder - right click on the folder and compact this folder.
Starting with your INBOX. If you have nested folders then compact the
main folder and each of the nested folders.
If that isn't enough, then:
For each folder - right click on the folder choose properties and then repair
folder. Then compress the folder.

After that - I'm all out of ideas.
