You could probably fix that by changing this pref:

Thank you for posting this. Not only does it stop the current clipboard
from being loaded in the URL bar (content which is often not a valid
URL!), but it allows a middle click to close tabs running under openSUSE
11.4, which is my preferred action.

Wow! "middlemouse.contentLoadURL" set to "False" does re-enable
middle-click tab-closure.

I didn't even know this was ever a feature, but my SM does it without
any changes. I wish I'd known about it before - that's better than an
"x" on the tab to close it.

The only extra-cost seems to be selecting right-click menu-item "copy"
after highlight, instead of "highlight and single-click/drop" to place
the item.
The mouse middle-click/drop, and even the "Paste & Search" menu-entry
still work fine in the Location-Bar Search-Box, triggering the
search-engine's suggestions
automatically.

I can't get the gist of why core-Gecko is resisting the change to
default = false? Many thanks for that Jens. Much appreciated. Barry.

In 2.1, I could click on a "groupmark" in Personal Toolbar, and all the
tabs in it would open. Now, clicking on it shows me a list of the tabs,
and the option to open them all at the bottom of the list. I can also
right-click and get the "open all" more easily. But is there setting
that simply opens all the tabs like previously?

No, but if you *middle*-click on the folder (what used to be the
groupmark), all the tabs will open.

Thanks for that one, McBastos. Just confirming "middle-click" also opens
all Group-folder tabs in the nightly trunk OK. (but middle-click won't
close tabs, and brings-up all sorts of strange text in the Location Bar,
giving my ISP and Google a bit of a turn ~ Heh!). All the best. Barry.

Nope. That is it! menu item "Open All in Tabs" after you get to scroll
way, way down the bottom of the Group list - This was the best
workaround due to a limitation carried over from FireFox's Gecko codebase.
