Nope! It belongs to someone else! See http://www.squatmail.com/members/

I had this kind of problem when first I ventured on to Usenet, Dr Bill
and, much like you, railed against doing anything about it!

You can fiddle at the edges, or perhaps adopt *@nomail.afraid.org
set up specifically for the likes of you and me for posting on Usenet.

He's doing just fine using example.com. Let's leave it at that.

OK. Sorry about that. I jumped the gun and posted before I noticed that
he'd already done as *you* had suggested, bts.

Folks,

There is a *lot* of JavaScript at that page: over 643 Kilobytes - more
than 16,000 lines of it. But it all seems to come from the ottofrei site.

That's what NoScript does. You can allow it by site, of course, for those
sites you trust.

Yes, thanks.

I had the original to, obviously, avoid SPAM and JUNK mail arriving at
my mailbox.

Of course. That's why all of us who don't want spam don't use a real
address. But we don't use one that belongs to someone else, who then gets
the spam. I'm glad you've seen how that works.

By the way, squatmail.com is a real domain and belongs to someone else
since July 2001. Never use any words that could be, now or in the future,
someone's domain. example.com/net/org/invalid are reserved and can't ever
be used.

Now that everyone (?) is happy againback to my original problem.

I believe that I ran into what was causing the javascript problem.

After a Godawful Trojan got into my system and having gotten it out,
with some hideous effort, I installed "NoScript" 2.3.7 and AdBlock

I would not know which ancillary site is requiring Javascript.

That original site I first told you all about was being zapped by
NoScript - I think

http://www.ottofrei.com/store/home.php?cat=1231

I allowed it - 'temporarily' and the Javascript Error message departed.

Had I known, I obviously would not have bothered you folks.

I am not even sure that I am using the right words (jargon) in the above

This is over my head.

But I use the Internet, so I have to wear protection

No. I am not as concerned as you are.

Well you should be (unless you are in fact abuse@hotmail). Abusing a
service email (even Microsoft's) is not looked on kindly by the
community. And if I came to the community for help as often as you do

You might be if hotmail discovers where and why all the spam is coming in
to their abuse email address because your munge was harvested. It's
common sense to not want to abuse others. Change "hotmail" to "example"
in your newsgroup settings.

Did you find your JavaScript enable/disable setting?

You don't have a Java plugin installed. The browser *does* have and use
JavaScript. There's no plugin or add-on for that; it's standard equipment.
