Password manager New, Edit, Clone

I have the built in plus the Saved Passwords add-on.

It seems to me that a long time ago at least one or more of those functions did work.
For a long time now, "New" is a active button, but there doesn't seem to be any
code behind it.  It just clicks, and nothing.  Edit and Clone are greyed out.

Is this thing supposed to work?

I am using the "Classic Password Editor 1.1.2" extension, converted
(chrome://amobrowsing/content/versions.html?host=addons.thunderbird.net&id=866823&beta=false)
in Seamonkey 2.49.5 and it is working perfectly.

As Ray is, apparently, still using 2.49.5, would you really bother
putting out a fix (2.49.6??) or just check if the Add-on, Saved
Passwords, works with 2.53.2 or whatever the latest is??

Meant more an easy fix in the add-on code. 2.49.5 is and will be the
last ESR52 based version. It is dead Jim. But might also be a problem
carried over to 2.53.x so this might be fixed if the defect is in the
SeaMonkey code.

I did read, one of the other responders (Mr Ed or Don, was it??) stated
that it was functional in 2.53.2, though a later Add-on version!

Ray, where are these "New, Edit, Clone" buttons that you refer to??

In my Win7 SM 2.49.5 (check sig file), if I go to Tools -> Password Manager
-> Manage Stored Passwords, I don't see these "New, Edit, Clone" buttons.

Are they something installed by your "Saved Password" add-on??

 > I have the built in plus the Saved Passwords add-on.

Seems the add-on no longer works. I would look into the error log and see if
messages are logged there for it during startup on when you click a button.
Might be an easy fixer or not.

What thing are you asking about?

I don't have New, Edit or Clone in the built-in password manager.

So the thing doesn't work.

If you mean the Saved Password Editor extension you need version 1.0.1.

<https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/seamonkey/addon/saved-password-editor/versions/?page=2#version-1.0.1>

Good Luck!
