Justin,
First I commend you on your work with SeaMonkey, it cannot be an easy
ride herding a group of self centered programmers. You have done very
well keeping the All-In-One-Suite alive.
Second. I have to condemn the core developers and programmers for their
attempt to destroy SeaMonkey and the promise of a superior internet
suite. Two weeks ago I installed the SM 2.8 upgrade and all my old
tools, extensions, and themes were broken. To add insult to injury the
installation removed all traces of my former ad-ons.
I have regressed back to SM 2.3 and all my tools, extensions, and one
theme are now restored.
I an sending this message as a courtesy because I have been a loyal user
since Netscape Communicator 4.01, and you should know how some of us in
the production world feel about these destructive changes.
I have turned off all functions of Auto Updates, adn do not expect to
ever update again.
I fear you are riding a Dead Horse, and if you are not careful and
watchful it will roll over and bury you.
Respectfully,
Michael Gordon
