I tried one of the sites from that page, and it worked quite well
without causing any problems.

However, my question is where is the source of the problems I see at the
Road Runner page? Is it Road Runner, or is it SeaMonkey? I can indeed
get a reasonable speed test from the Road Runner page, but then I cannot
manage my cookies without disabiling JavaScript. Thus, I have to ask if
there is a problem with SeaMonkey's JavaScript or is there a problem
with the scripts in the Road Runner page.

I can't answer your question directly but try some of the
speed tests at this website:
http://www.broadbandreports.com/speedtest
You can also run Flash or Java based tests. It may answer
your question if you are able to get things working there. HTH

Road Runner Speed Test

2010-11-18 Thread David E. Ross
My broadband service is via a Road Runner (Time Warner) cable modem.
When I go to
, I am
indeed able to test my download and upload speeds.

However, while the results are displayed, I have a serious problem with
SeaMonkey's Cookie Manager. If I go to [Tools > Cookie Manager > Manage
Stored Cookies] and view my accumulated cookies and select a cookie, it
stays selected for only 1-2 seconds. If I scroll to the bottom of the
list of cookies, the list snaps back to the top. This problem goes away
if I disable and then re-enable JavaScript.

In one case, I cleared the Error Console just before running a speed
