Now that you can see the toolbar, you can see that one letter of each
menu item is underlined. ALT plus that letter calls that item: ALT-F
calls "File," ALT-E calls "Edit," etc.

Thank you very much, Paul, Ant and each of you who took a moment to
help. Also, I will keep the new profile idea in mind for other
minefields I may run into for temp or permanent resolution. Some
times I forget the basics.

Welcome.

One by one I am responding to each suggestion that came through so quickly for
the disappearance of my major "tool" bar.

Roger, F11 did make two of the two appearing tool bars disappear and then
reappear, but still no "File, Edit, View" bar. Thanks for the input just the
same~!

What you have, I think, is SeaMonkey's "unique version" of toggle full
screen. F11 should bring it back.

Do you get a menu if you press alt key on the keyboard (assuming
Windows)? If so, then check to see if you can enable the menu option
from there.

Try doing ALT-V, and from the menu that appears, choose "Show/Hide" and
check the box next to "Menu Bar."

A diagnostic question.
What happens if you create an additional profile - accepting all defaults.
Do things work as expected with that profile?
