[Sursound] Ambisonic interactive cinema ad
Hi All Just a quick heads up to a new cinema ad campaign in plain old FOA. The campaign is from Digital Cinema Media, in conjunction with the Yummi Media Group. It is for an interactive cinema phone app called 'Cinime'. It should be playing in all Vue and Odeon cinemas in the UK, for the next 6months or so (updated regularly). It is also currently playing in Belgium, Ireland, Singapore, and soon Germany. Other countries to follow. All music and sound design was mixed in FOA, then decoded to 5.1 stems. The voice over was then added via pair wise panning to LCR. Not sure if this is a first for ambisonic mixing, but I couldn't find any other reference to a cinema ad (or film) mixed in this format.
