Re: [Sursound] Upcoming update to AmbiExplorer
Hi Hector, Perhaps you've updated it, but it seems fine to me. It can have B-Format or stereo UHJ input and recodes to binaural or virtual microphones. Clear and concise. If I had more time (there's never enough and so many things to do) and the right gadgets I'd love to hear it. I have my own way of doing this, but it's always great to compare results on different implementations in the endless search for perfection (or a decent compromise). You seem to have got over the problem of extracting useable data from trackers, an area where I can't work out where to start. I'm working in Max, and the only option seems to get an Arduino and find suitable software that does the disentangling and present what you're looking for (mostly rotation about the three axes, possibly dominance to allow some effect from head position). It would be a lot of learning and experimentation, with the chance that it may just end up in the cupboard of unfinished projects. It's good to see the continut'growth in Ambisonics, but looking at your play store page for this app the general public needs to be made more aware of what Ambisonics is and its benefits fot the future of 'surround sound' And on that point, sort of, i do have a question for Hector.
