I took "just play a B-format file" to mean only that - feeding the outputs
into your decoders, or VVMicVST, etc, is then a separate and reasonably
well-known matter.

The .AMB files still need decoding! I've got some VSTs which can be
downloaded from http://www.brucewiggins.co.uk/?page_id=78

Well, there was Gerzonic's nPlayer, but it's no longer available from their
site. And there is a player here that will play up to eight mono or stereo
files with synchronised controls:

But if you're going to use AudioMulch, why bother? I just use the built-in
multichannel file players in both AudioMulch and Plogue Bidule, and they
work just fine.

Plug-ins are listed at:
http://www.ambisonia.com/wiki/index.php/Object-Patcher_plugins

although I am not sure if there is a VST plug-in.

Players (including Rapture3D) are listed at:
http://www.ambisonia.com/wiki/index.php/Playback_Software

If you find one, and it is not listed, please add
it to the Wiki.

Martin

Ooops, I guess I should have been more specific... A VST plugin. The
description is of an awesome-sounding player, but ultimately I want to
manipulate recorded material in AudioMulch.

Thanks!
