lycium barbarum

  some synonyms
  http://www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Lycium+barbarum
  Lycium europaeum - non L.
Lycium halimifolium - Mill.
Lycium lanceolatum - Veillard.
Lycium megistocarpum - Dun.

I have heard it called "happy berry" by importers - supposed to give a
feeling of wellbeing.
  Hype?

growing conditions are VERY important for sure.
The pigs are giving us good mulching straw with urine on it.
My daughter penned them in the garden for 3 months last fall. They ate lots
of weed roots.
This years garden should be good.

Which particular wolfberry is that? Nutrient contents of different
foods vary wildly depending on how it's grown and the soil it's grown
in.

When I tested it last month (still winter) we were growing cabbages
with a brix level of 10%, by comparison a store-bought cabbage of the
same type measured 3%. Our turnips measured 8% tops and 7% roots,
from local gardens 4% and 3%. And so on. The nutrient contents will
vary with the brix levels. We're only about nine months into this
system, it will get better than that.

Brix levels:

Why organic?
