It's a couple of decades since I have spent serious time on a working
farm. It was a small farm, the antithesis of CAFO operations, with a
couple of horses, a few head of dairy cattle, a few sheep and chickens.
I suppose the way these critters function could have changed in the
intervening years, but I'm really at a loss to figure out how one is
going to harvest a significant amount of relatively pure urine. Most of
what the livestock produced in my experience was left in the pasture.
What was produced in the barn would have soaked into stall bedding, or
on the floor of the milking parlour. The bedding was swept out
regularly with the feces to go on the manure pile.
So, is the plan to catheterize the livestock and hang a belly bag on
them? If so, it's going to take a braver man than I to hook up King, a
wily old Percheron stallion, on a daily basis.
However, if someone else wants to take on the equivalent and put the
video up on the Web, I would definitely review the action.
As for the viability of the Hydrogen Economy, well I could write a book
about why that's not going to work, and I did.
