Re the fish oil, can we leave living creatures out of the equation on bd. Its bad enough that 80% of fish catches go for animal feed or fertiliser - an even worse thought is driving a car on the suffering of cattle -tallow. Once the animal is dead its not renewable? Or did the Creator give us cows and fish to put in car fuel tanks. Methinks meat stinks. Re big mouths - well done Ian - you know its something I've been bothered about. With all the commercial fisheries (and fishermen) going tits up, I don't know if you can really consider fish oil renewable. I'd be amazed if it stayed cheap for long, since there are strong indications that overfishing of the oil species are part of the problem for the other fisheries, i.e., those which eat the oil fishes like menhaden and anchovy, and so regulation will probably hit them quite hard next.
