2001-04-30 Thread David Reid

Hi Munirna, David, Dick, et al,
   Will be interesting to see
what your results show Munirna and anyone else who is trialling this device.
Dont be in a hurry so we get some reasonably reliable results. From what
Dick has said they appear to be more effective at higher ambient
temperatures. Which is also probably the reverse of the R.H. (relative
humidity) factor. Would be interesting to see results from a dry area such
as in Outback Australia as well.

Dick,
Go to the JTF site and find the Mother Earth Alcohol book that Keith
has put there and at the end of Chapter 6 you will find the relevant article
titled "Ron Novaks Do-It-Yourself Water Injection System." Complete with
details.

Hi Munir,
I know Malaysia quite well, used to visit Ulu Perak every year (tin mining &
small hydro) and Sabah a couple of times. It may be that during your humid
monsoon seasons there may be not much benefit from the fogger, but the hot
dry season could be a different story. Anyway, it will be good to get your
feedback.

Andrew,
I dont think you can install a fogger (mister) in a diesel
vehicle. I think the only way you can mix water and diesel is with the use
of additives and a reasonably sophisticated mixer. Left to their own devices
they generally separate out. The inclusion of water generally means better
combustion and the emission of less contaminants, and this is why it is
normally done, and there is a lot of research and development going into it
around the world at present. What is the purpose of the pressure pump in
this case?

Andrew,
No sorry I was wrong. You are on the right track. Believe the
right amount of moisture drops the emmissions.
