[svg-developers] Re: Adobe and Mozilla working together on future Javascript/Actionscript
thats positive, in my opinion. It helps to speed up HTML and SVG applications and enables new js features. As long as they don't try to establish the Flash player as a fixed Mozilla component, thats fine. [svg-developers] New Article: Advanced SVG Animation Techniques
Hi everyone, Dev.Opera, Opera's new developer-oriented website, has just published my latest article, first for a long while, dealing with the combination of SVG's supported SMIL animation elements, DOM and JavaScript to create canned effects to be applied dynamically to any SVG element. http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/50/ Hope it's of interest to some. [svg-developers] FF2 text-anchor bug?
It seems in FF2 on Windows that all my text elements that use text- anchor=middle are now positioned incorrectly. FF2 on Mac doesn't show the problem (though it has other text bugs) Anyone know anything about this? Anyone at Mozilla working on it? It is a MAJOR pain. In fact, FF2 on windows only seems to have gotten worse for SVG, not better, which is disappointing. FF2 on win32 displays the w3c svg testcases using anchor=middle (text-align-01-b, text-align-03-b, and text-align-04-b) fine here. -tor - To unsubscribe send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -or- visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click edit my membership Yahoo! Re: [svg-developers] FF2 text-anchor bug?
Hi Tor Yep, go to http://lhr.webtrak-lochard.com/template/index.html in FF1.5, then FF2. Note the tooltips text changes from being correctly centred in FF1.5 to misaligned in FF2. On further investigation I have found that some text elements that use text-anchor=middle are still being aligned correctly, but some (like the tooltips) are not. [svg-developers] Map servers
Who has a recommendation for a source of map data? Prefer a hosted solution rather than setting up our own map server (eg www.arcwebservices.com). Would like access to satellite/aerial imagery if possible. What services have people used? What's hot? What's not?
