[svg-developers] Re: Report on SVG Viewer Performance, the second attempt.
Once again, I look forward to any input or suggestions. An interesting, tightly related thread [1] is being conducted at the Mozilla SVG group. Anyone interested in discussing/learning more about the setInterval/setTimeout/Date approaches to time tracking, within the Gecko family of browsers scope, is (of course!) welcome to join/participate. [svg-developers] Re: Report on SVG Viewer Performance, the second attempt.
Once again, I look forward to any input or suggestions. Great! :-) I took a quicker look at it this time: here goes a couple of small details. All of the viewers tested support the anonymous function syntax for setInterval(). ASV on Internet Explorer does not support this syntax. Supposedly, neither does Renesis. [1] You may back up the supposedly with a link to the known bug [2], if you like... ;-) I am indebted to Frank Bruder, Erik Dahlstrom, Helder Magalhes, and Cameron McCormack, who provided insights and suggestions after reading a draft of the article. [3] Thanks for including this credits section. :-) I'd just like to point out a couple of typos: Dahlstrom -- Dahlström and Magalhes -- Magalhães. It OK (at least for me) to forget about the accent, though... ;-) Hope this helps, Helder Magalhães [1] http://anomaly.org/wade/projects/svg/profiling/#methodology [2] http://tickets.examotion.com/public/view.php?id=25 [3] http://anomaly.org/wade/projects/svg/profiling/#acknowledgements - To unsubscribe send a message to: svg-developers-unsubscr...@yahoogroups.com -or- visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click edit my membership Yahoo! I would probably play the dumb American card, but it's easier to just fix them.grin/ The page has been updated with your suggestions. Once again, the help is muchly appreciated. G.
