This is all very interesting, but do I take it since no one's answered
my question, I'm not missing anything and should be thankful to have
the ZZ parchment reproduction?

That of course shatters my theory. 

Amazing that Activision bothered to reproduce the parchment at all, when
you remember how bad the pdf files were that came with the Masterpieces.
