[swinog] Green / Nexlink

2010-02-15 Diskussionsfäden Andreas Weiler - Kabelfernsehen Boedeli AG

Hi

As an Information for green / nexlink webhosting techies:

Once more you are hosting a phishing-site on a subdomain of
site-preview.net:

http://dani-n3ass-com.site-preview.net/ssl/Deutschland/authentication.php

Already reported a phishing site a few weeks ago to Green abuse and by
green ticketing system, but never got an answer for following site:
http://cerides-compte-com.site-preview.net/visa/authentication.php

What about taking down the domain/customer?

Greetings,
Andreas

[swinog] ProLiant Debian

2010-02-15 Diskussionsfäden Schlageter Benjamin
Hi everybody

Has someone any experiences with Debian on a ProLiant 120 and/or 160?
I'm searching some cheap server for monitoring and our old Dell PE 1950
is an ass full of pain with Debian. :(

Cheers
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

Debian Wiki: http://wiki.debian.org/HP/ProLiant

It runs on most newer HP servers quite well, never had any problems. But you
need to install the bnx2 driver for most network interfaces.

Have fun and regards,
Mario

Hi Benjamin :)

Try Sun gear, pardon Oracle servers.

I remember they once wanted to start with official Debian support on these
machines. They even are certified for Ubuntu:

D'oh - shame on me, I should practice more on Google. :)
Mhm, this bnx2 thingy isn't impossible but still annoying...

It looks like Switch has enabled DNSSEC in the nic.ch Web Interface.
I was able to register my keys.
The whois output states:

with sunoracle servers, you end up with disk bays that are difficult to buy
if you need to increase the disk capacity. And the original Sun disks cost a
fortune.

[swinog] SIG is recruiting

2010-02-15 Diskussionsfäden Gregoire Huet

Dear Swinog,

SIG is recruiting a system and network engineer.

Please check the following link for the announcement :

http://www.sig-ge.ch/corporate/ressources-humaines/nos-offres-d-emplois/index.lbl?o=E319A25A-2A31-4AAA-B3C6-A08AE6B83FBF

It's in french only, but i guess there are enough acronyms
for someone who doesn't speak french to figure out the seeked person's
profile !

Best regards,

Greg
