[swinog] Sporadic DNS resolver error for *.mail.protection.outlook.com
Hi, we see sporadic DNS resolver errors for A records of *.mail.protection.outlook.com Only a few per day vs many successful lookups. Anybody else seeing these? Kind regards Ralf Ralf Zenklusen Dipl. Re: [swinog] FortiVM feedback
Hi Antoine, the main difference between Fortinet HW and VM is the HW :-) They use special ASIC's to accelerate pure firewall traffic, VPN, SSL, they have an inbuild switch fabric etc. In reality this means VM versions are good if you use mainly UTM (Antivirus, Antispam, Intrusion Protection etc), but they are not as good if you're mainly using pure firewalling, VPN, SSL or even many ports etc. They support virtualization and that means you can have several separate customers each with their own login, rights, max usage configuration on one unit. I'll send you some more info off list. I understand your point and I find the thought process interesting. If you wish to continue this conversation, we can always do so off-list or around a beer in Lausanne. Maybe my initial request was ambiguous so I will attempt to clarify it. The question we’re asking here is : Out of the people who have tried FortiVM solution, do you have feedback to share and have you encountered any limitations or problems with it ? Re: [swinog] Suche nach neuem Registrar
Thank you for pointing that out - maybe for somebody VS was so far away as AU ;-) There's still some time for the change... We'll support DNSSEC shortly and I'm sure others are working on additional features as well. Changes are never simple. Amazon, Switchplus, Metanet are really located in Austria? And Brig (rhone.ch) is now located in Australia? :-) And many "CH" registrars: I am pretty sure they have no business in Switzerland... I know i am on the wrong place here for this, but i want simply the same "swissness service" i had from switch. With IPv6 glue and DNSSEC. With a fair price...;-) Beat ___ swinog mailing list swinog@lists.swinog.ch http://lists.swinog.ch/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog ___ swinog mailing list swinog@lists.swinog.ch http://lists.swinog.ch/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog

Re: [swinog] .ch registrars : goodbye nic.ch, but where to go then ?
Well not sure how up-to-date that info is... We'll support it shortly. If you have many domains or special wishes e.g. regarding prices, you should ask. This is surly true for many companies on the list. Yes, there's now a competition and a large list of partners. Good luck in finding the right one for you ;-) Regards Ralf http://www.rhone.ch http://www.barinformatik.ch http://www.colobrig.ch http://www.finishweb.ch BAR Informatik AG Gliserallee 16 3902 Brig-Glis Switzerland r...@bar.ch -Ursprüngliche Nachricht- Von: swinog-boun...@lists.swinog.ch [mailto:swinog-boun...@lists.swinog.ch] Im Auftrag von Michael Richter Gesendet: Mittwoch, 26.
