Re: [sword-devel] Chinese Pinyin bible
There are a number of Pinyin bibles on the web. What I need is a Pinyin module in the Sword Project format that I can install on my desktop. Re: [sword-devel] PocketSword for iPad
Nic, I just added {{yes}} to German, Portuguese and [new row for] Thai in the PS column of the table in http://crosswire.org/wiki/Choosing_a_SWORD_program#Localization http://crosswire.org/wiki/Choosing_a_SWORD_program#Localization Please everyone, keep an eye on this page, and remember to update it after new releases of front-ends. Let's see if we can fill in the blank cells in the Localization table. Also check the updates especially after a new language row has been added. Re: [sword-devel] PocketSword for iPad
Congratulations Nic, Could I ask for more information on a couple of changes? The release notes include "more fonts for displaying more Asian language scripts" but which fonts did you use for which languages - I have been doing some work on fonts in AB too. Also, what ui changes did you make for the iPad and are any screen prints available? I believe MS got rid of their old `embedded' IDEs a while back and integrated that functionality into standard VC++, which is of course now available in the free `express' flavor. The latest free versions are for Vista and Win 7 only, so no good to me as I only have XP available. However, I do have the installer on a CD for the last XP friendly version (I think it was Embedded 4). I'm away from home now until October. When I get back, I'll take a look and see if I might be able to get anywhere with it. I might try the up-to-date version and see if it will run under Wine - (unlikely). I can at least make a cab file from the binaries Konstantin sent me. I have a commandline script for making installable cabs from binaries back home. I will be nice to take a look again, but it really needs for someone with up-to-date Windows to take it on, and now that I have entirely migrated to Ubuntu, I'm never likely to be upgrading.
