Hopefully adding something like the following to your 
~/.sword/sword.conf might help:


  [General]
  TimeoutMillis=1000

Besides myself also having experienced this issue, we've had at least 
two BibleTime users report the same issue. So if you're interested in

Hi Pierre,

Look at your default configuration file:

~/.sword/InstallMgr/InstallMgr.conf;

Search for: TimeoutMillis=1.

You can up this number to prevent the download from timing out,
