[symfony-users] Interface Translation - task 'i18n-extract' don't create files into i18n folder

2007-07-19 Thread ranonE

Hi,
i'm testing the Interface Translation.
It doesn't work, because when i run the task 'symfony i18n-extract --
auto-save backend it' the result is:

>> i18n extracting i18n strings for the "backend" application
>> i18n found "17" new i18n strings
>> i18n found "0" old i18n strings
>> i18n saving new i18n strings

but into 'apps/backend/i18n' folder there aren't any files.

Ideas?

Thanks

Hal, I got it working on my own dev server. Here is my action code for
the API part, it's a bit modified from what was included on askeet
tutorial site.

Check it out and let me know if you have any questions regarding it.

[symfony-users] Add css from plugins

2007-07-19 Thread Marco Catunda

Hi,

I've been developing a plugin. This plugin has some css files. I put all theses
css in plugins/sfMyPlugin/web/css directory and make a symbolic link in web's
directory application:

app
  -- plugins
 -- sfMyPlugin
-- web
   -- css
  -- main.css
  -- web
 sfMyPlugin (symbolic link to ../plugins/sfMyPlugin/web)

How the best way to set stylesheet's plugins for app in view.yml?

I've used the following way

stylesheets: [ ../sfMyPlugin/css/main.css ]

Thanks

  edit:
display: [id, price, ] <-- Insert name into display is not
possible?

In case anyone ever has the same problem... Passing the 'frequency'
option to observe_field() will make this helper time-based instead of
event-based and the problem goes away.

Cheers,

[symfony-users] observe_field()

2007-07-19 Thread Alexander Deruwe

Hey everyone,

Is there any easy way to have an observe_field() call also be
triggered when an update is made through javascript? In my case
selecting a value in one select tag will update the next one (I chain
4 together this way). If by chance the next select tag only has to
contain one element I do not wish to send an empty one also, but this
means observe_field() doesn't see the change to the one element and
my next select tag doesn't update.
All ideas are welcome.

Cheers,

Alexander

[symfony-users] howto symfony + doctrine (on gentoo / php5 cgi) + mssql

2007-07-19 Thread clemsy

Hello,

I have symfony running with doctrine plugin on a gentoo with php5
(cgi)

I've installed freetds + pdo dblib

I can run queries on php5 scripts on a mssql server but I can't
configure symfony to connect the ms sql server.

Has anyone an idea ?

Here is my databases.yml that's not working

all:
  model:
class: sfDoctrineDatabase
param:
  dsn: dblib://dbuser:[EMAIL PROTECTED](mssqlserver:1433)/dbname

and that line doesn't work too :
  dsn: mssql://dbuser:[EMAIL PROTECTED](mssqlserver:1433)/dbname

thanks for help

Clem

[symfony-users] Re: Online Askeet Demo and "Askeet Day 17 - API" tutorial do not work

2007-07-19 Thread Hal

Is there any possibility that someone could help me to confirm that
this is an issue, and to bring it to the attention of someone who
could fix it?

Thank you

There is no release available, yet. You have to check it out from
subversion:

change into your plugins dir and run:

svn co http://svn.symfony-project.com/plugins/sfPropelLoadbalancerPlugin
sfPropelLoadbalancerPlugin

Regards,
Matthias

[symfony-users] Re: Class not autoloaded in plugin

2007-07-19 Thread Nicolas CHARLOT

Colin Williams a écrit :
Well I'm not entirely sure if this would solve your
problem, but I believe it is bad practice to have the plugin refer to a
class that is not contained in the plugin.

I agree with U. The class
stay here temporary and will be packaged in another plugin.
