Hi there First I think there is already a solution as a plugin: http://www.symfony-project.org/plugins/sfFirePHPLoggerPlugin Second: The difference between the web-debug-bar and FirePHP is that debug information of FirePHP is also available within ajax-calls and makes it easier to debug the traffic behind the carpet...
