Hi, That's great idea. I have nothing to add, except the limitation of my coding skill/knowledge. Re: [Synfig-devl] JACK-enabled preview
Hi! It looks a very interesting idea because it might be a simple addition and would allow to use external player to play the sound at the same time than the preview withour Synfig overload. It would be also interesting to be able to draw the audio wave on the already removed timeline of the preview window. I would like to mention one thing, though. In my opinion the proper video/audio library to incorporate to Synfig (and allow to play video and audio without external applications) is gstreamer. It is the core library of the GTK+ development suit and integrates well with gnome. Gstreamer integration can be a bit more complicated so if the JACK-transport addition doesn't represent a huge work it can be a good option meanwhile gstreamer is implemented. After that will be done and tested it will be easy to implement the same for workarea. Re: [Synfig-devl] JACK-enabled preview
I think it's an excellent idea! Would this be possible for the canvas/timeline as well? I know it probably will be slow but for audio syncing work it still would be useful I think. -David 2012-02-29 06:20, Zelgadis skrev: > Hi, Jcome! > I have noticed that last time you are working intensively on preview window. > I have one feature proposal for you. > As we all know Synfig have no sound support yet. > I'm proposing to add JACK-transport to the preview window.
