t-and-f: Knee pain help needed
Does anyone out there know a good Physical Therapist who perfroms deep tissue massage in the states of Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota. I read Mark Plaatjes article in march Runners World, and I'm desperately trying to get help with an 8 year old knee problme that is keeping from doing any meaningful running. thanks in advance, Gary Liguori North Dakota State University Fargo, ND - Go Far! __ Do you Yahoo!? t-and-f: Key NJ transfers
Netters: I have been informed that the Davis sisters, Janine and Sophia, who ran for Queen if Peace during the indoor season, have since transferred to St. Patrick's, Elizabeth. It is a school with a top-flight boys' basketball team (probably will win the NJ Meet of Champions tonight), but has never had a track and field team, to my knowledge. It is expected that the sisters will continue to train under their club coach. Under NJ rules, they will be able to enter meets with the signature of the principal, but St. Patrick's belongs to no conference, so their HS activity would be limited to the Union County meet, the state Parochial B and AG championships and an invitation meet or two. Janine, a sophomore, had a spectacular indoor season, culminated by her 2nd place in the 400 at the Nationals in NY, clocked in 54.70. She set a NJ state record in the 600M (1:32.11) and set several sophomore class records. Sophia is a freshman who ran 58.06 for 400 this winter. Janine will have to sit out the first 30 days of the outdoor season as far as HS competition is concerned, but there really isn't anything for her to run awayway. Sophia, as a freshman, will be eligible immediately, but will have a 30-day penalty (as will Janine) next winter, but this, again will be virtually meaningless since they will probably be competing largely in open youth meets then. I would also consider finding a rolfer. I have used them periodically over the years with good results. I have seen myself progress to pain-free running after about three sessions. bob
Re: t-and-f: list problems...
Larry, I've had the same problem ever since I upgraded to XP. I can reply to the list, but haven't been able to get an original message to show up. Let me know if you had found out anything. Listers, I recently purchased a new computer, and I've noticed that I've been sending messages to the list, but they don't post. If this reaches the list, it's from my old computer. Any suggestions? Try setting the format of your messages to PLAIN TEXT, as opposed to HTML or Rich Text. For example, your reply and Larry's initial message from (I'm assuming) his old PC, are both in plain text format. The format setting location depends on what e-mail software you're using.
