I wrote yesterday,

If you've been wondering, as I have, when the Russian vaulter 
triple-trio (Isinbayeva, Feofanova, Polnova) would finally begin their 
outdoor season, it might possibly be tomorrow at the Lausanne 
International Meet.


Since then, I've had the good news that Yelena Isinbayeva improved her 
world record at Lausanne to 4.93m
 (16' 2 3/4"). I've also had the very bad news that former world 
Svetlana Feofanova has an injury that may cause her to miss the outdoor 
season. A very sad thing, since Feofanova has not only held the record, 
but has been an important motivator for both Stacy Dragila and 
Isinbayeva in their record efforts. Let's hope for her full recovery 
soon!
