Re: t-and-f: Women's Decathlon?
As part of our annual state HS multi-events in Washington, the past 2 years, there has been a HS girls decathlon. I'm not sure exactly what tables were used to score the event, or all the details, but results were reported in the local newspapers. - Original Message - From: "Roger Ruth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, June 30, 2002 8:21 PM Subject: t-and-f: Women's Decathlon? > Does anyone know what progress is being made toward establishing the > decathlon as a women's event? t-and-f: Curtis Johnson
Why did Curtis Johnson not run the first round of the 100m? BTW, CBC coverage is pretty good. I saw all 5 quarterfinal 100m heats, at least 20 puts in the shot finals, quite a bit of the 20k Walk final in their show last night - and I didn't see the entire coverage. They are coming on live for an hour tonight just to show the men's 100m final. (CBC = channel 99 in the Seattle area).
t-and-f: Books on Olympics
A couple of weeks back, someone posted the titles to a couple of books they considered to be excellent reading on the Olympics. As I recall, one of the books listed the top 8 finishers in all events and some preliminaries. Would someone please repost the titles? Thanks.
t-and-f: The Rankings
Would someone please post the website that lists the IAAF ranking that is being so widely discussed? Or better still, post them. Thanks in advance. BTW, I think we all would be in favor of having the "best" fields possible for the Olympics and the Worlds. Let the wild cards in. Let the national teams! Finally, is there anyone else out there who was in Sacramento at the Trials who thinks Capel would have won the race even if Johnson and Greene hadn't pulled up?
