Athletics-Bucher out for at least six weeks with foot injury GENEVA (Reuters) - Swiss 800 metres world champion Andre Bucher has been sidelined for at least six weeks after fracturing his left foot during training. Bucher told Swissinfo.org that the injury would force him to miss the European Cup in June and July's Grand Prix meeting in Lausanne. But the 28-year-old refused to be drawn on whether he would make the European championships in Munich in August. "That all depends on how quickly the injury heals," he said. Bucher, who became Switzerland's first track world champion when he won the 800 metres title last year in Edmonton, suffered the injury while running around a bend.
