Well, I think he should've just paid the entry fee.  It was his own
decision.  This isn't a "horror" story.  I'm sure he'll get over it.

Agreed.  I have always had respect for Kingdom, but my estimation of him
just went down a couple notches (assuming of course the story is true).

Kudos to the meet organizers for sticking to their policy.  There is no
"principle" here on Kingdom's part - he tried to get last minute entry into
the meet and he shouldn't be expecting any consideration at all.  If he
indeed is giving up a last minute chance to qualify because he feels he is
owed something, then he is obviously not as committed to making the team as
one would have guessed.

Perhaps there is more to the story,

Not to mention how exactly are they supposed to capitalize on his
presence if he entered at the last minute.
