Feature check

2014-09-10 Thread Mark s2c
Hello
1. I can see from the architecture.rst that if there are fewer servers than
expected, tahoe loops, but I've got 12 (10) storage servers and default
setup. Can I confirm it picks 10 of 12 randomly?

2. What is the current status of the sync and mirror commands? I can't see them
in the cli but I can in the history of the project.

We want to run a grid for clients. Many of our clients are satisfied for us to
run their storage client for them (though some will not), which means they
largely will connect to it over https. I've looked at the docs and i need
clarity on these:

3. Once shares are written to the grid, exactly what command is run to tabulate
the overall space used by a specific account?

4. How do I list all of the accounts in the grid?

5. With our test setup, I create a resource, and share it by sending the URL to
my friend. But what is the most efficient way to unshare it?

6. If clients run their own private storage clients, how can they share files
in it to friends given they are in normal consumer adsl situations with router
firewalls denying access?

7. Is it possible to white label the tahoe storage client web interface? I
guess by building our own and using restful websvcs internally?

Thanks ever so much.

 Dear Tahoe-LAFS enthusiasts,

I am organizing a Tahoe-LAFS cryptoparty at Noisebridge in the next coming
 weeks
and I'd be delighted if some of you would attend. The explicit goal of
 this cryptoparty
is to show participants an alternative to the inferior mainstream cloud
 storage...
and create a collectively operated Tahoe-LAFS grid which is only
 accessible via Tor Hidden Services.
