 Hi,

Implemented in tails git, branch feature/whisperback_16, merged into
  experimental. Please test too!

When I click the Send button, I'm told Unable to find encryption
key. and GPGME: End of file. Other than that, it looks fine.

I can't reproduce this bug with current experimental branch. I tried a second
build today, same result. Please tell me the commit your testing system is
build from or any other relevant info.

A few unrelated remarks / bug reports follow:

  * copyright years were not updated in the About window

Fixed in git.

  * version was not updated in the About window

Yes. I didn't updtae the version information for such a snapshot.

  * the integrated help browser fails to display the screenshots and
other images on the Reporting Bugs page

Can't reproduce this bug neither.

  * the Help title on the right box is a bit too small and close to
the box border to be useful

I think it's not worse than 1.5 currently in tails. I tried to have something
similar to the tab of the left. In current git I replaced that title by
notebook with a single tab, hoping it's more clear. Could you please have a
look?

Cheers

Re: [Tails-dev] Tails: pcmcia / firewire / etc.

2012-08-15 Thread intrigeri
Hi Jake,

Jacob wrote (late 2011):
Disable all firewire kernel modules. This will help fight against
forensics programs that will attempt to suck out memory with the
internal firewire or a cardbus/pcmcia card.

And ta...@boum.org replied (05 Jan 2012 23:54:40 GMT) :
 Recent Linux kernels shipped by Debian use filtered physical DMA;
unfiltered physical DMA seems to be disabled
(CONFIG_FIREWIRE_OHCI_REMOTE_DMA is not set). Do you know which class
of attacks is still practicaly doable on such a system?

We are still very interested in your answer to this question :)
Thanks a lot in advance!
