[Tails-dev] [review'n'merge:1.2] bugfix/7173-upgrade-syslinux
hi, the results of the call for testing of a newer syslinux show some improvements, and no regression. Also, this branch has been merged into experimental for a while, and I've not seen it break any of the test suite runs I've performed. I think we should take it for 1.2 = please review'n'merge into devel. Note that this upgrade blocks various other things, such as testing UEFI boot as part of our test suite, that I'll complete once this is merged, so it would be appreciated if this was reviewed shortly. Also, supposedly the new syslinux fixes things with some versions of VirtualBox, but I did not get any test report about it (except a report that it works with 4.3.14-dfsg-1, regardless of the syslinux version). cheers, -- intrigeri ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.
[Tails-dev] [review'n'merge:1.2] test/7231-uefi-boot
hi, test/7231-uefi-boot (#7231) adds an automated test of UEFI boot. It should be merged into devel *after* the branch that's about #7173. cheers, -- intrigeri ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.

To the best of my knowledge, only v6 is used, and only by I2P. bugfix/7807-remove-duplicate-openjdk-jre removes v7. I2P still works for me with this branch merged (into experimental). This makes the ISO 4% smaller (SquashFS compressed with gzip). I'd like to see this merged into stable (for 1.1.1) and devel, but I won't be too sad if the RM decides that it's not suitable for a point-release, and should only be merged into devel. Still, I bet a full run of the test suite would help validate my assumption that nothing uses the v7 JRE.
