Indeed. What the "Update the Tails signing key" entry in the changelog
refers to is simply that we bumped the expiry date of two subkeys.

Cheers!

I believe you are mistaken. If there was a new signing key it would definitely
have been mentioned. There isn't a new signing key for 1.7.

That is the key which was transitioned to for 1.3.1.

Or am I missing something?

[Tails-dev] Updated signing key - lack of notice on d/l page for 1.7

2015-11-09 Thread Anonymous
on your TAILS download page it mentions:

"Tails transitioned to a new signing key in Tails 1.3.1."

But it fails to mention the new updated signing key for 1.7.
I verified the 1.7 ISO with an older version of TAILS and
followed this by importing the 1.7 signing key and it too
verified the 1.7 ISO.

But, you should post somewhere about the new 1.7 signing key
and recommend the download of it just in case for some
users. TIA

[Tails-dev] Low hanging fruit session: Thursday November 12

2015-11-09 Thread sajolida
The next low-hanging fruit session is scheduled for:

Thursday 12 November
#tails-dev on irc.oftc.net
 9 pm in Paris
 8 pm in London
 3 pm in New-York
12 pm in San Francisco

Everyone interested in contributing to Tails is welcome!

The idea is to spend a while together on many small tasks that
take less than 2 hours each.

Not only these sessions are very useful to make Tails better, but we
were happy to see new people joining recently. We hope to see even more
of that in the future as these sessions are great times to start
contributing to Tails!

For newcomers, the list of "easy" tickets should be a great
place to start: https://tails.boum.org/contribute/easy_tasks/

During these meetings, we exceptionally allow ourselves to do
the review & merge process on IRC instead of the usual
email-based workflow, so this should all go pretty smoothly.

We'll also try to handle bug fixes for the next release that are not assigned
to anybody.

So the first week of sprint just started. I think that apart of me,
only spriver said he would be available this week. Next week a few
more people will be working on stuff (mainly documentation updates as
far as I know).

To anyone interested in coordinating: I'll be on the tails-dev XMPP
chatroom on conference.riseup.net, because OFTC can't be bothered
letting me in now and I'm fed up arguing with it.

Cheers,
