Hi Miguel,

I was going to do to the same, and asked on IRC yesterday, but didn't
get a reply until this morning:
https://git-tails.immerda.ch/liveusb-creator

Before that, I was considering using the debian orig.tar.gz:
http://http.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/tails-installer/tails-installer_4.4.6+dfsg.orig.tar.gz

Linked from:
https://packages.debian.org/en/sid/main/tails-installer

But if you're planning to do so, I'll hold off. I'm about to go on
holiday anyway, so it may be a while before I can.

I haven't built an ISO myself in a while but I build the website
everyday from Tails 2.0 with the package ikiwiki from testing (3.20150614).

Maybe you can try:

apt install ikiwiki/testing

NB: Beware that '-t testing' and '/testing' do different things :)

[Tails-dev] Manua Build Setup Help

2016-01-20 Thread Navneet Bhartia
Hi

I am trying to do a manual build of Tails and following the instruction here
https://tails.boum.org/contribute/build/#index3h1

I have installed all required package but cannot install the ikiwiki

The Instruction says to install 3.20150107 or newer but that version cannot
be found and if I try to install from stretch I get the following

---
apt-get install -t stretch ikiwiki

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:

 libcairo2 : Breaks: libwebkitgtk-1.0-0 (< 2.4.5-2~) but 1.8.1-3.4 is to be
installed
 libdbus-1-3 : Breaks: dbus (< 1.9.16-1~) but 1.6.8-1+deb7u6 is to be
installed
 libglib2.0-0 : Breaks: glib-networking (< 2.33.12) but 2.32.3-1 is to be
installed
 metacity-common : Breaks: gnome-themes-standard-data (< 3.15.90) but
3.4.2-2.1 is to be installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused
by held packages.

Any help will be very appreciated

Thanks

[Tails-dev] ebuild for tails-installer

2016-01-20 Thread mmarco
Hi, all

Since the recent announcement of tails-installer package for debian, I thought
it could be cool to have packages for other distros. In particular I use
gentoo, so writing an ebuild shouldn't be really hard (it is basically a
script that downloads the code, compiles and installs it). I could do it
myself, but I haven't found the location of the source code of tails-
installer.

Is it in the full repo of tails or does it have a specific repo somewhere else?

Best,

Miguel Marco
