Re: [Tails-dev] Bridge not functioning properly
Hi, maton (2021-07-26): > Connection fails when running with the default bridge selected. Were you using obfs4 bridges successfully on older Tails (4.19 or earlier)? I suspect the problem is caused by your computer's hardware clock being set to local time, far away from UTC (GMT). It would be nice if you could try this experimental image: https://nightly.tails.boum.org/build_Tails_ISO_fix-15548-tca-test-manual-time-sync/lastSuccessful/archive/build-artifacts/ … that will allow you to set the time zone and clock correctly upon such failures, and then to retry. Re: [Tails-dev] Proposal: migrate our public chat rooms to another friendly XMPP server (#17956)
Hi, ignifugo (2021-07-30): >> a. start testing disroot.org chat rooms The current results of these tests are: tails-dev works, tails does not. I'd rather not take the risk to end up with "tails-dev" on one server, and "tails" on another one ⇒ I would prefer we don't migrate tails-dev before we successfully complete step (a) of your proposal. >> b. ask them about their future plans. I can do that. For the record, ignifugo reported about this on https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues/17956#note_174419 : "they say that want support xmmp sure for the next 2 years" >> By next week, or shortly after, we'll draw a conclusion. If both (a) and >> (b) are good, then disroot.org will be the winner! I'll mark your MR !547 as a draft since (a) was not successfully completed yet, as far as I know. [Tails-dev] Connection Assistant
Hey there, I wanted to let you know I tried to use the connection assistant to set up a bridge but it would not work. I am using tails through a USB and tried to use the default bridges in tails initially and then a custom bridge I got from tor through email but no luck using either method. I don't know if this is an issue with the connection assistant or if im messing something up but I wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks. ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://www.autistici.org/mailman/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.
[Tails-dev] Tails 4.20
Hi, since upgrade from Tails 4.19 to 4.20, the WiFi connection disappeared. Cannot connect through wlan. Even with cable connection to wlan router it doesn‘t work. Error connection when I try to connect with new bridges which I got from brid...@torproject.org. How can I downgrade to Tails 4.19? Which worked properly on different devices by wlan. All: I posted 2 short files to add a simple GUI to back up the persistent volume on 22 Jul 2021 19:44:06 -0400 (EDT). I'm surprised to hear no comments. Am I posting in the wrong place? [Tails-dev] Preparing the next monthly report
We should start writing the monthly report for last month. A blueprint with the current report, who is responsible to curate it, and a template with instructions on how to write it can be found on: https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/blueprints/-/wikis/monthly_report/ But *you* should make sure that the cool stuff that *you* did will be mentioned in there. The person who volunteered to curate the report will by default only include highlights from the (internal) team reports so if your work is not mentioned in any such report, then please contribute it yourself to the monthly report! Keeping in mind that these reports are targeted at the other Tails contributors, people contributing to related projects, expert users, and Tails advocates, so they can be useful, for example, to: - Give others a quick overview of what you are doing and where your work can be found. - Get help or feedback from others. - Give a sense of the very diverse contributions that are valuable to the project and encourage more people to join in. - Show off how cool we are! ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://www.autistici.org/mailman/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.
