[Tails-dev] Changing my mail address
Hey all, just to clarify all confusions, I will change my mail address in the next days from this one to spri...@autistici.org. There will also be PGP support then. Re: [Tails-dev] Windows camouflage for Jessie/GNOME shell
Hi, are there any statistics/experciences from users that actually use the camouflage mode? Cheers, spriver Am 2014-12-02 15:24, schrieb Alan: Hi, Let's start thinking about Windows camouflage for Tails Jessie/GNOME shell (https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/8064) Do we still want to provide Windows Camouflage? How much energy do we want to put in it and who wants to participate? If we want to keep shipping a windows camouflage for Tails Jessie, I propose we stay on windows 8, which is still the current Windows version. It means we could keep (most of) the GTK+ and icon theme as a basis and only replace the gnome-panel theme by a GNOME Shell thing. About implementation : - I think having a desktop looking like windows 8 desktop shouldn't be too hard. I didn't find such a pre-made theme. I's probably about writing a custom shell extension, inspired by GNOME's classic set of extensions; - mimic windows 8 metro interface in GNOME Shell activity view looks doable but harder for me. I didn't find anything on the web. I'm up for participating to the effort if we collectively think it makes sense. However I'm not sure that I want to handle it alone. Re: [Tails-dev] Mirror of website and downloads as hidden service
Hi, yeah after sleeping over that, I have come to the result that it would not change a thing (if you want to download Tails anonymously you can also use the Tor Browser Bundle). Sorry for that. But would there bee a need of a standard internet mirror? E.g. my company's network is blocking projects like Tor or Tails (the whole page itself and also downloads). [Tails-dev] Mirror of website and downloads as hidden service
Hey everyone, would it not be an good idea to mirror the whole webpage with the download section as a hidden service? I could do that on a and unmetered 100mbit/s vserver. Or ist that regarding to the downlink speeds obsololete (but at least the webpage itself would be a cool idea in my mind). I would love to hear some opinions on that. Re: [Tails-dev] [review and merge] filename problem
I am using a Windows Vista 32-bit machine. (yeah pretty awful but I'm at work) I have tried to cole the repo again, it showed the same mistake. I also saw that there are some more filenames with colons. Is there a contributer-base of Windows users? If not we should leave it in that way, I can switch to a virtual machine with Debian. And the documentation should be updated regarding to that. Regards spriver Am 2014-07-16 14:53, schrieb u: intrigeri: u wrote (16 Jul 2014 11:28:59 GMT) : as seen on tails-l10n, there is a folder in the wiki which contains a colon. This results in problems on Windows systems, where contributors might want to translate.. but can't checkout this folder. Can one build the website (with ikiwiki) on Windows? (I'm fine with adding constraints on filenames if it *really* allows people to do their translation work on Windows. If it's removing one stumbling block only to then unhide the next one, I'm not sure it's worth it.) you are absolutely right. Let's ask the person first. Eventually, we should then also update the documentation accordingly. cheers u. ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org. ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.
