[Tails-dev] NMG(R) Tails Logo Contest Proposal
Tails Devs, Here are links to a proposal, re: "The Logo Contest": notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-concept-1_nmgr.png notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-concept-1boot_nmgr.png The designer would like to remain anon as much as possible, although we realize any internet-savvy person could track down the individual. It is not entirely clear what "FREE LICENCE" & GPL3+ means legally but it is understood in a general sense this work is being done gratis. Tails is important and this is recognized. Reference: http://notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-boot-ref.png http://notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-on-ref.png Notes on concept: We are not 100% satisfied with the concept but feel it "works". We will not be offended if you want to take the concept and have another designer "work it" like you want it. "Take it", "leave it", or "work it"--all good. Fun was had regardless. Significant effort was put into meeting: "secrecy, privacy, anonymity, mystery, simplicity"--without running into WHONIX's "visual territory" -- or moving into TOR's "branding". 1. Outer box conveys "screen", "safe", & "computer"--"face to computer". 2. Inner shape conveys "USB" downward as a visual cue: "ready-to-use". 3. "White", re: propaganda conveys "SOURCE KNOWN". "Physical security of Tails on "your" USB, in "your" control and possession. 4. "Grey", re: propaganda conveys "ORIGIN UNKNOWN" or two layers (metaphorically) of "hidden origin" and hence this is good--a "smile". 5. X101X = "Protected"--"Enclosed"--"The Individual, and by extension, 'DATA', is protected. Reversing as 01X10, didn't seem to make "visual sense" in vertical line with O---i---0. [CIRCLE/SOUL/DISC/"Platter for encoding information" --- Little I --- ZERO, safe] 6. Font is: Aairchat, generic. anon...@notfoundclub.org ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.
Re: [Tails-dev] NMG(R) Tails Logo Contest Proposal
Tails Devs, Here is some additional information: notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-concept1-solo_nmgr.png notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-concept-1_nmgr.png notfoundclub.org/tails/tails-concept-1boot_nmgr.png Font: http://www.fontspace.com/rob-leuschke/aaircchat I am using an old graphics program and am having some technical diffculty exporting to SVG. A plug-in was downloaded from the web, but it did not work. Will send as soon as possible. SVG notice was not in the original email so did not prep for this. I have an editable PNG, available for the graphics program if this is an acceptable substitute.
