Hi,

Thanks a lot for your logo proposal. I added it to the contest page:

https://tails.boum.org/blueprint/logo/#index34h1

Can you also please choose one of those three licenses for your work?
Those are the strongest ones to be qualified as free artwork, and be
compatible with both the GPL and the Debian Free Software Guidelines:

- GPL
  https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html
- Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike
  https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
- CCO (Public Domain)
  https://creativecommons.org/choose/zero/

Hi Team

Also, one small request. Could you email me to let me know you
received my submission without issue?

Thanks

Here is my submission for your logo content.

The logo symbolizes

* Swirl of Debian
* Layers of an Onion
* The Tails of Tails
The concept was based on an Japanese symbol
known as a (two fold) Tomoe though it has also
displays similarities with a Chinese Taijitu which
translates to “diagram of supreme ultimate.” The
Yin and Yang symbol being one of them.

Font: Anonymous Pro

Tails provides the balance of power between the powers that may be.

I will happily provide the complementary material including .eps and

Hope you like it.

Yes! I added them to the other ones in the contest:

Yes, and please choose one of those three licenses for your work. Those
are the strongest ones to be qualified as free artwork, and be
compatible with both the GPL and the Debian Free Software Guidelines:

- GPL

Could you also provide us with a version of your first proposal (the one
I called "colorful"):

  - On a white background, so it is easier to use in different contexts
  - Without names of other products (Tor, I2P, Iceweasel). I find your
proposal strong enough without them, and "Tor" for example is
trademarked.

Well, thanks you back for your great artwork!

I will propose Tails contributors to vote on the idea behind a logo,
while keeping in mind that the implementations details could be further
improved in the future.

Good luck in that move!

It did, and I added your work to the other proposals in the contest:

https://tails.boum.org/blueprint/logo/#index20h1

Still, I need you to clarify two things:

- The license of your work. Could please choose one of those three?
Those are the strongest one to be qualified as free culture, and be
compatible with both the GPL and the Debian Free Software Guidelines:

  - GPL
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html
  - Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike
https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
  - CCO (Public Domain)
 https://creativecommons.org/choose/zero/

- The license of the font you use. I guess it is probably handwritten,
in that case you don't have to provide additional information as it will
be the same for all your artwork.

Thanks for your proposals!

As indicated by https://tails.boum.org/news/logo_contest/, we need
a little more information before we can include your proposals into
the contest, such as:

  * the license you're publishing your work under; see
https://mailman.boum.org/pipermail/tails-dev/2014-March/005334.html
for details
  * the SVG source of the images
  * the name and license of the font being used

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Thanks a lot for your logo proposal. I added it to the list of proposal

I also linked your abstract from your submission. Did you know that we
already have a server named lizard? :)
