Extended Dictionary, new version is ready
To all the users of the Extended Dictionary package. I am glad to inform you that the new version is ready for distribution. This will be version 0.69.5. Please be informed, that the previous version will expire on February 29. There is no other way to renew your license, but to install the newest version. All your current Dictionaries should be preserved, and the installation should be a rather seamless go. As it still may take a couple of days for the new version to show up on the App Central, and due to the fact that the license is about to expire for all current users, I open up for those of you who want the new installation file as quickly as possible, that you may contact me directly. Send me your rquest on the below Email, and I will make sure you get the installation file asap. For those of you who want to go through App Central, you may want to check for new updates to the package, some time next week. I do apologize for any further inconveniences. What's new in version 0.69.5? This is mainly a bug fixing version, with a few minor updates to the code. In addition it will grant you a quite prolonged license, that you may continue benefitting from the functionality of the package, for a good long time yet. Basically, it will not pose much for new features. Still, the User's Guide has been updated with several new chapters, so you may want to pay attention to the complete Table of Contents. One major update in operation has taken place though. That is in the operating the User's Guide. Please be aware of this, since it is of importance for you being able to do your reading. As usual, the Treview Table Of Contents, will be focused when you open the User's Guide. Use your arrow-keys for exploring the table. Once a chapter of interest has focused, simply hit the Tab-key. You now will be one step further down the screen, and are placed inside the Reading-box. Here the entire text of the chosen chapter will be displayed. Automatically, it will be read out to you. Should you want to manually arrow your way through the chapter, you can hit any key to terminate the automatic speech. Whenever you are done with the reading of the chapter, simply hit Shift-Tab, and you will be back in the Table Of Contents. Repeat the above procedure, and do your reading of as many chapters as you want. Upon finishing the reading session, you can close the User's Guide in either of two ways. If you hit the Alt-L combo, this will activate the Close-button. Alternatively, hit the Escape-key, and it will do the same. The Documentation screen will be closed, and your last viewed chapter will be saved, just as you have experienced from before. Hope you will find the new version stabil and enjoyable. Feel free to let me know, should you experience any trouble. So the fixes are only for internet explorer and not really any other problems that have cropped up? RE: Why will Window-Eyes crash, but Nvda not?
This Window-Eyes maintenance release (not a major upgrade) will include a number of stability improvements and bug fixes related to web browsing. Will the fixes in this Window-Eyes update prevent Internet Explorer from becoming unresponsive for every user, on every computer, on every website?
