Hi Rod,
Don't be so hard on yourself. It was a simple case of plowing through
mail and assuming it was about WE be it that this is a WE support list,
not a NVDA list.
And it was not a failure. It's being human. Everyone does it in today's
fast paced online life. Myself included.

I hope you're able to see it for what it is, which isn't much.
God speed,

Well, I don't know about me, but you're getting up there for sure. As I

But don't worry. I'll send a nurse over to check your medications. Smile.

I know we're all getting up there, and so perhaps you've temporarily overlooked
the fact that Ctrl-Shift-B is the Window-Eyes hot key for the mouse boundary

Therefore, if you are using Window-Eyes, and wish to open the address book from
within Outlook, you will need to press Insert-B to bypass the next keystroke
before Ctrl-Shift-B will work.
Let me go take my Geritol now before I forget. (grin)

Hi Anthony,
I don't use Outlook. But I just looked at the keyboard shortcuts page
for Outlook because I thought perhaps Control+Shift+B was in the
Window-Eyes scripts.
https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsupport.office.com%2Fen-us%2Farticle%2Fkeyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-3cdeb221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd=02%7C01%7C%7Cf4510805dd7641df866d08d5ac3c93fb%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435%7C1%7C0%7C636604298529986782=q%2FvetKiPU66HR1hofCGREIUHan6ou0f9NV4owCv2ocI%3D=0
But Control+Shift+B is the native Outlook shortcut for the address book.
I then loaded NVDA because I still use Window-Eyes. I pressed NVDA+1 for
key describer mode. And Control+Shift+B is not a NVDA key combination.
So you should be able to just press it without pressing the bypass
combination first.
Hth,
Tom

I think it would be a wonderful idea rather than having to shell out all
kinds of money.  As long as you have a choice of subscription or a

Hello,
Here is what I do know, from the Freedom Scientific podcast. They want to
change and use your licensing, so that you have the capability of transferring
license is from one machine to another, or removing a license in case of a shut
down. There was nothing mentioned as far as I know, about subscription pricing
for a child’s license.

Hi Anthony,
I don't use Outlook. But I just looked at the keyboard shortcuts page for
Outlook because I thought perhaps Control+Shift+B was in the Window-Eyes
scripts.
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-3cde
b221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd
But Control+Shift+B is the native Outlook shortcut for the address book.
I then loaded NVDA because I still use Window-Eyes. I pressed NVDA+1 for key
describer mode. And Control+Shift+B is not a NVDA key combination.
So you should be able to just press it without pressing the bypass
combination first.
Hth,
Tom

Hi Anthony,
I don't use Outlook. But I just looked at the keyboard shortcuts page for
Outlook because I thought perhaps Control+Shift+B was in the Window-Eyes
scripts.
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-3cde
b221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd
But Control+Shift+B is the native Outlook shortcut for the address book.
I then loaded NVDA because I still use Window-Eyes. I pressed NVDA+1 for key
describer mode. And Control+Shift+B is not a NVDA key combination.
So you should be able to just press it without pressing the bypass
combination first.
Hth,
Tom

  Hello,

I apologise if the query I am about to raise has already been discussed.
I do not know what happened but somehow I lost my membership to the list.
However, I am now subscribed again.
This means I will have probably missed some message and hence the
  reason for my apology.

I realise that sooner or later Window-Eyes will stop working on Windows 10.
I am about to upgrade to what I believe is Windows 10 build 1803.
I wonder if anyone on this list has done this and what their
  experiences have been regarding Window-Eyes?

  Many thanks,

  Mike.

Hi Rod,
Well, I don't know about me, but you're getting up there for sure. As I

But don't worry. I'll send a nurse over to check your medications. Smile.

Re: Windows 10 build 1803

2018-04-27 Thread Russ Kiehne via Talk

I was also wondering if Window Eyes will work with windows 10 1803?

Subject: Windows 10 build 1803

Mike.

Re: wexplanation

2018-04-27 Thread Tom Kingston via Talk

Hi Anthony,
I don't use Outlook. But I just looked at the keyboard shortcuts page
for Outlook because I thought perhaps Control+Shift+B was in the
Window-Eyes scripts.

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-3cdeb221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd

Hth,
Tom

Hi Anthony,
Yes. NVDA+F2 can be used anywhere because it's an NVDA key, just like the
Window-Eyes bypass key.

So can someone explain to me if the bypass procedure applys for NVDA

If not, is there another way how to do it with NVDA please?
