Re: using window eyes with focus 14 braille display to perform system shortcuts such as alt+f

2018-10-27 Thread Norene Trappa via Talk

Hi,

I have never used braille with window-eyes. When my w-e stopped working I
started using Jaws and am struggling with that. Maybe someone on the list
can help. Sorry.

shortcuts such as alt+f

hi,
i am using window eyes latest, last year version before it shut down,
with focus 14 braille display. i am not the newest focus so it works
with window eyes, but when i look at the braille options under hotkeys
i think, it listed all hotkeys for this model of braille display such
as down arrow, up arrow, tab, shift tab and so on. i cannot find the
key command for me to press lets say alt+f on the braille keyboard.
not just alt f, i mean, is there any way for me to set the hotkey or
something for system keys such as applications, ctrl, alt, windows
key, shift and so on?
i mean i can combine those keys to perfrom various keystrokes such as
if i want to press ctrl plus g on one application called goldwave to
bring up the go to time i think, so i can press the ctrl emmulator key
on my braille display, maybe dot 1 plus space bar or something, then
press g.
in other words, layer keystrokes in braille display. is it possible?

I think that you can do particular combinations, but I don't think you can
do a keystroke followed by another one. You can use Insert-1 or its braille
equivalent to find out what has been defined. You may find some patterns
that you can use or modify.

windows defender detected something when downloading things on app central, be ware!

2018-10-27 Thread Drew Clark via Talk
hi,
i was downloading the chip orange interactive class for scripting
using internet download manager to get all mp3s and txts on this site,
warning when opening it,
https://www.gwmicro.com/App_Central/Developers/Interactive_Classes
i did get the certificate error thing and i bypassed it, also i manage
to get all the classes and its examples except for class 23 and its
example, witch is also not available on this page.
but my main point is, i dont know what happened with this website
maybe someone or something is running in it.
the company who bought it still did not shut down this haha.
but it is lucky because i can grab all audio archives, tutorials and
so on before it is shut down.
and just saying here if someone has old windwo eyes tutorials and can
share it with me it will be grate!
