Re: WinEyes Error Reports on Startup
Hi Lloyd! I'm happy to say that, although I had the problem too, the error messages went away like yours did after a few days or a week on my Win 7 32 bit desktop. I had done the optional quality roll up back then too, so maybe that was the culprit, who knows. They are usually fine. Debby At 06:56 AM 7/21/2019, Lloyd Rasmussen via Talk wrote Using Windows 7 64-bit on an old laptop. I reported a few days ago that WE 9.5.4 was giving error messages, asking to send error reports to AI Squared. This happened frequently, but not every time, for a few days. For the last 3 or so days it has stopped happening. I imagine this had to do with an update to either Windows 7 or to Microsoft Security Essentials. I try to run updates frequently, including the "quality rollup" ones that are optional but probably become essential at the next Patch Tuesday. So this is just another one of life's mysteries. I don't think my Windows 10 computer, which I don't use as much, is up to 2019-3 yet, so can't tell you anything yet about the storage problem. But that machine has a hard drive instead of an SSD, so it has plenty of room to store files. I do believe that three apps are causing problems and should be disabled in the App Manager. These are: Eloquence fix diagnostics windows enhance If you cannot get Window-Eyes to load at all, you can get it to load by pressing the normal hot key to load it, that is, Ctrl-Alt-W, and then quickly press and hold down the left shift key, not the right one, but the left one. This loads Window-Eyes with apps off, and you can then proceed to set app execution to manual in the apps menu. Once you do this, you can go to the app manager, find the above apps, and disable them. After this, you can set app execution to on again, and Window-Eyes should be restored to proper operation. The one functionality of the Windows enhance app which you will miss is the enhanced system tray, where the app would fill the system tray with all the notification area icons it could find.
