Re: Reading cells and fields in xl

To unprotect a file I usually go to the properties of the file before
opening it and in the "General" tab page, I tab to "Unblock", press enter
or spacebar and that usually unprotects it.

Hello

Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to work on my machine. After
pressing f6 followed by space f2 I get the same message about protected
mode. Many thanks though for taking the time to reply.

Best wishes

Mike.

Hello Everyone

I occasionally receive xl spread sheets that I need to be able to read
character and numbers individually. The files are protected and so I can't
use f2. Is there any way, using Window-eyes that I can cursor across
names and numbers?

  With thanks in advance

   Mike.

Hi Peter,

First, press Escape several times to ensure that you are not editing a cell or
are in any menu.
Then, arrow keys move you around the spreadsheet.

Hth,

Rod
