like the minus key went from left mouse click to left,right,left, and
right. with just one press.
just to see what would happen i redefined the key for left mouse click
to another key and it changed to the tab key, not the key i told it to use.
i did what you said here before i read your message. grin.
one nice thing i found out is when you remove an account it asks you if
you want to save your files. i said yes.
and everything was transfered to the new account i made with the same name.
but jaws and window eyes went back to the default settings and i had to
re do all the voices and other settings again.
but the number pad keys are working now in the new account
and all my desktop programs are still working. i didn't have to
reinstall them again.

I can't imagine why it would work on one account and not the other. It
works fine here on my admin account. However, the mouse left and right
click keys are the slash and star keys. 5 and plus are mouse line and
cursor to mouse.
The only thing I can think of to try is to make the standard account
your admin account, delete the original admin account, and make a new
one, copying the standard, now admin, account. Then switch whichever one
you want to the standard account.
I would also do this with your anti-virus malware protection off. For
what it's worth, I whitelist all the folders for Window-Eyes and NVDA.

the problem is with the admin account.
the w e number pad functions don't work in the admin account but are

i copied the default folder from the standard user account to the

keyboard.
the w e functions were working before i re installed windows 10 19.9 a
few weeks ago.
