RE: Microsoft Teams

Debra,

I was a Window-Eyes user for many, many years and am therefore still on this
list. I am not using Window-Eyes now, so I can't say how accessible Teams is
with Window-/Eyes, although I would be surprised if it was not at least
somewhat useable. If there is a newer technology being used that Window-Eyes
doesn't capture, you can probably do all right with NVDA. However, here is
some information I stored from somewhere else about Teams that you might find
useful.

1.To mute yourself, use Ctrl + Shift + M.

2.To send or read instant messages, go to the Chat Tab using Ctrl +
2.

3.Additional Teams Resources

 *   Accessibility support for Microsoft
Teams
 * Quick Start Guide: Moving from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams
for people using a screen
reader
 * Using Microsoft Teams with a Screen Reader: Frequently Asked
Questions
 * Use a screen reader to explore and navigate Microsoft
Teams
 *   Keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft
Teams
 * Basic tasks when using a screen reader with Microsoft
Teams
 * Use a screen reader to join a meeting in Microsoft
Teams

Teams has a lot of options and it is also somewhat complicated software. There
is a learning curve to using it. However, there are a lot of keyboard
shortcuts, and they may overcome whatever limitations that Window-Eyes may have
with Teams. I hope this is of some help.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Hi,

My work group is to start having meeting using Microsoft Teams. In reading

on it, it seems it is not accessible with WE. Does anyone on the list know

of a web site which offers tutorials or knows more about Teams?

Thanks for any suggestions! Have a blessed day!

Deborah
